Shaping Consumerism the Millennial Way
Remember that talk of our generation believing that the companies we work for should be aligned with our value system? Well, it’s not a surprise we also take values into consideration when choosing what brands to spend our income on… As we should!
Since the pandemic, a study shows many Millennial and Gen Z consumers have switched brands for overall improvement in quality, but about 42% of millennials and Gen Z cited the switch was because of purpose. Does this company share my values? Are its employees treated well? You’ve probably ran similar questions in your head at some point before deciding to make a purchase - and hey, you should be proud of that!
Self-care isn’t just about powering off earlier in the day to keep your mental health in good shape, but also about the power to decide what we put into our bodies, as well as asking the question, “what people or companies are benefitting from my purchase?”
